If you venture into the Texas Hill Country, there is a beautiful wedding venue known as The Marquardt Ranch. It sits right on top of a hill, overlooking the river. I loved working with Jake & Shanna. They are such a wonderful couple. Their wedding day was absolutely gorgeous. There were so many touching & unique details that filled their wedding day. From the beautiful couple exchanging gifts before their first look, to sharing their personal written vows in front of their friends & family. So many wonderful in between moments. Captured in photographs forever. Shanna & Jake, it was a privilege to photograph your wedding. I had so much fun working with the two of you & I still find myself thinking of your wedding day. Your wedding was absolutely stunning.
Here are a few of my favorite photos from their special day. Enjoy!
The Marquardt Ranch is such a beautiful venue.
Kendra Scott gets me every time!
Shanna was extremely close to her grandmother. She wore a dove pin to keep her grandma’s memory close to her that day. So sweet.
I mean, can we talk about Shanna’s ring for a sec. Hello gorgeous!!
While I am with the girls, Ivan (my second shooter & hubby) is with the guys.
Jake opening the gift Shanna made for him …
Shanna made a scrapbook of all their memories together. Cue the tears.
Best man duties.
Love this classic portrait of Jake.
Time with the girls!
Mimosas are always a good idea! 😉
Adore these mama daughter moments.
An absolute beauty.
Shanna & Jake decided to exchange gifts before their first look.
One of Shanna’s gifts was a workout tank with a NEW initials are a MRS. YAY!
I love when my couples decide to do a first look. A first look is also a wonderful way to spend time with one another before guests begin to arrive. And yes, more photos are always a perk 😉
You guys, I could not hold back my tears during their first look. It was absolutely heart warming & a beautiful moment.
I told you we took a lot of photos!
Something about this!!
A fave of mine! LOVE that smile!!
Time for family photos before the ceremony.
Living for this mama daughter portrait.
So sweet.
Beautiful touches to remember Jake’s father & Shanna’s grandmother.

Shanna’s mom & dad were celebrating their wedding anniversary as well! Shanna & Jake gave them anniversary gifts during their wedding & I thought that was the sweetest thing!!
While the guests mingled, Jake & Shanna decided to take sunset photos. I am so glad they did, because these are stunning!
I think I need this on a canvas. In my own home. I LOVE IT!
It’s time for the reception. I can’t wait to show you their beautiful decor.

And yes, they cut their cake with a sword!
I love when my couples set time aside for night time portraits. It gives me the opportunity to experiment with different lighting & it’s so fun! It also gives my couples a nice variety of photos. From mid-day, sunset, to night time!
This one is a for sure FAVE!
