Kristina & John’s day was perfect. I woke up in disbelief the morning of. We were in the month of May & there was a breeze in the air. I knew it would be a gorgeous day.
The best way I can describe Kristina & John’s love is, the ultimate love. You know the type of couple that you see together & you can’t help but SIGH out loud. I caught myself doing that many times throughout their wedding day. At one point, they were dancing at their reception & I promise, it really looked as if time had stood still & they were the only ones in the room. I looked over at her father, who was watching as well. He had the biggest tears in his eyes. He looked over at me & said, “they really are perfect together.” Yes, I truly believe that everyone in that room felt the same way, as we watched them dancing.
There were so many beautiful details. Along with Kristina’s gorgeous wedding dress, she also wore her mother’s AMAZING veil. Her first look with her dad was everything I could have hoped for & it was a wonderful moment.
Their portraits as husband & wife, were pretty much a dream come true for myself. I really could have worked with them for hours! Here are a few of my faves from their wedding day.
A special gift from Kristina’s family. So sweet.
That ring tho!
I love these mommy/daughter moments. So special.
Can we talk about Kristina’s dress for a second? I mean, what!?? WOW!
Being that Kristina is the baby in the family, she’s very close to her parents. So a daddy/daughter first look was an absolute must. We made sure to keep John hidden upstairs in the Groom’s suite & we kept all guests inside during this special moment.
I love these moments of daddy admiring his baby girl.
A little note for dad before the ceremony. Cue the tears.
I don’t know what it is about this photo, but I love it so much!
Once we tucked Kristina back inside to get ready for the ceremony, we brought John outside for his own solo family shots.
Ceremony time! Something that I really love about Bella Springs are all of the beautiful trees.
Their vow exchange was so beautiful. They spoke from the heart & were able to express themselves before the ring exchange.
Mr. & Mrs. Bertels!
So happy, they literally danced up the aisle! I LOVED THAT!!
Loved these two shots of John admiring his wedding band! Love those in between moments.

A tiny ladybug came to say hello to Kristina.
Bride & Groom portraits are next & omg, I could not narrow them down. I didn’t post all of them, but I basically did! 🙂
Yes, yes, yes. They are a REAL Bride & Groom!
One of my faves!
Never mind, they are all my faves. 🙂
GORGEOUS! Makeup by Sandra Mariela. I LOVED working with her.
Am I on a movie set???
You two are just beautiful together.
And this could be my absolute favorite. SO ROMANTIC! I almost want to print a huge canvas of it & display it in my home. Is that creepy? Yes, no, maybe? 🙂
Time to party y’all! Let’s get into reception details ….
Loved their sweetheart table!
