Sometimes I can’t believe how quickly time goes by. It feels like just yesterday I received an email from Zari telling me she was going to marry her love, Martin.
As the months continued, I loved getting to know the girl Martin would soon call his wife. We have known Martin for the past couple of years and Zari is truly his perfect match. They compliment each other in such a sweet way. Their engagement portraits were absolutely lovely, you can take look at those HERE.
This wedding meant a lot to me for various reasons. First of all, it was our last wedding of the year. Cupcake Photography has had so many beautiful weddings, but each one is so very unique. No two weddings are the same. Also, I was 10 weeks pregnant pregnant when I photographed Zari & Martin’s wedding. No one knew at that point. Just our families & a handful of close friends. We were so anxious to announce our new addition, but we decided to wait until after their wedding. At the end of the evening, when we were taking the last photos of the evening, we decided to tell Zari & Martin before making our official announcement the following day. It was such an awesome moment & definitely something I will never forget.
Their wedding was absolutely gorgeous!
From the gold sequins that covered their sweetheart table, to her Badgley Mischka bridal shoes. I loved every single detail that went into their wedding day. Not only the details though, there were many moments, that had me smiling throughout the day, as her mom wiped away a tear as she buttoned up the last button on her daughter’s dress, to Martin sneaking up to the bridal suite to hold his bride’s hand right before walking down the aisle, and how they could not contain their excitement as they FINALLY saw each other at the end of the aisle and reached in for a big hug. It’s those little moments, that make a wedding day so unforgettable.
Take a look at their wedding day slideshow HERE
Let’s go ahead & take a moment to admire Zari’s dress. I know, it’s stunning & let me tell you, in person it was perfection.

When your bride & her bridesmaids love shoes as much as you do. ❤
Martin decided to go up to Zari’s bridal suite to give her hand a little kiss & tell her hello before heading out to the ceremony. Such a sweet moment.
Time to get married!
Look at that smile! Martin had the biggest smile ever when he saw his bride.
As soon as Zari’s daddy gave her away, Martin reached in for a hug. This moment gave me goosebumps.
Time for family formals…

Introducing, Mr. & Mrs. Torres!!!
First dance as husband & wife…
At the very end of their first dance, Martin lifted his wife & spun her around. I mean, REALLY!? Swoon.
Daddy & daughter dance…
Mother & son dance…
& now we all dance…
& let me tell you, there was LOTS OF DANCING!
Parents of the groom & parents of the bride dancing!
Taking a moment to let it all soak in. I totally recommend for all my couples to take just a minute or two, to sit down together & take a look around. All that hard work of planning a wedding & now you get to enjoy! It goes by so fast, so enjoy that moment together! ❤
& of course, there was more dancing to be done!
Love this photo of my bride Zari, pure joy!
Last photo of the evening. Such a wonderful day.
Thank you Zari & Martin for allowing me to be apart of your wedding day. As not just your photographer, but now as your friend 🙂 I wish you many years of laughter, love & happiness.
