I loved working with Barbie & Andrew. From our first time meeting each other at Starbucks for their consultation, to their engagement session at the gorgeous King William district, we have had a wonderful journey working together! That’s what I love about working with couples on their wedding day. It really is a journey that we go through together. I’m there from the beginning, meeting them nervously & hoping they like me, enough to want me to be there on the day they become husband & wife. It’s such a big day! Two families coming together & of course, I love every second of it! Especially when I get to work with an awesome couple & their amazing families.
Barbie & Andrew’s wedding day was filled with so much love. Family, friends, from San Antonio & even those who came from out of town too. You can tell how much their family & friends loved them.
Weddings are so much more than just the decoration that adorns a reception hall. It’s more about those little details that bring the entire day together. From the pearls that belonged to her grandmother, to her mother helping her into her dress, it was a day filled with so much emotion & those small, but incredibly significant details matter! To top it off, their venue, Plaza Lecea is incredibly beautiful & I always love working there!

I was really loving Barbie’s beautiful details. You can’t go wrong with grandma’s pearls, classic style 😉
Getting her makeup done…
Can we talk about Barbie’s dress for a second? Actually, let’s not talk, let’s just stare & sigh. I loved it.
I love this moment. Mama helping her baby girl get into her dress.
These moments make me so happy 🙂
Off to St. Matthews Catholic Church.
I think Andrew is ready to see his future wife!
I love this photo of Barbie’s grandma & grandpa ❤
First kiss as husband & wife! Yay!!!
Love these photos, so much happiness!
We had lots of time after the ceremony for family formals, bridal party & bride & groom portraits. These are a few of the family formals that we took 🙂
Bridal party portraits
I thought it was really neat that Barbie not only had bridesmaids, but she had bridesmen too 😉
Andrew & the guys!
They humored me & cheered for Andrew & Barbie’s kiss. Lol. Cheesy? Absolutely and I love it! Haha! Now that I look at it, I crack up at everyone expressions!
The bridal party went on their way, while Barbie & Andrew stayed for their bride & groom portraits. I loved that time with them. I could have been there with them, for hours.
Love these two photos together.
That sun haze. I find it so romantic.
Gorgeous you guys!!
Ready to party!!!
Isn’t Plaza Lecea so pretty?
Loved their cake. I love fresh flowers on wedding cakes.
When your couple walks into their reception to Drake!
“Started from the bottom now we’re here”
After dinner, we headed outside to the balcony & took a few more photos. The sun went down quickly, but we were still able to take some pretty portraits before the party got started.
First dance as husband & wife…
First dance with Barbie & her mama…
Andrew & his mama’s first dance…
Andrew’s grandma got the party started! She wasn’t shy!
Lots of laughing & dancing went down that night. It’s okay guys, if you don’t remember, I documented it all 😉 Lol!!
This might have been my favorite part of the night. The DJ had the dance floor packed!
Dancing!!! So much dancing. I love when my bride & grooms are on the dance floor for most of the night. That’s the way it should be! 😉
Toss that bouquet girl! 😉
Ready to get that garter! 🙂
Cake time! Yay!
Andrew got a little distracted during the cake cutting. Lol!!
Don’t worry, we got him back to the cake! Haha!
They spent the rest of their evening on the dance floor 🙂
Thank you again, Barbie & Andrew, for picking me to photograph your day! I had such a great time working with the two of you & your wonderful family & friends! May you have a lifetime of love & happiness.
