A new addition to the Perez family

This is Bobbi the Morkie {half yorkie, half maltese}

A couple of weeks ago, we decided to take her in from a family who could no longer take care of her & see how she would fit into our family of 3. We really weren’t sure what would happen, all we knew is that we wanted to make sure she was happy. It was really important to me that Gino & Bobbi got along. & even if it didn’t work out with Bobbi, I still wanted to make sure she is placed in a happy & good home.

Gino has been a lone wolf for the past 4 years and I think he enjoys our full attention (& like a typical teenager also needs his space). Gino is still adjusting to her. Sometimes he looks at her like, “okay, when are you going home.” & there’s been a couple of toys that she’s stolen from him mid chew, and he just looks at me like, “mom, really!?”

I’ve had to break apart a couple of rough housing moments between the two of them, but it is so funny to see how they BOTH tend to pick on each other. Their personalities are something else. I’ve noticed out Gino has taken on this ‘Big Brother’ role. If they are both playing in the garden, and I call them back to me, Gino tends to look for Bobbi, nudge her & then they both come running  back. I’ve also seen Gino get upset if Bobbi doesn’t follow commands like sit or lay down.

Living with Bobbi, has been an adjustment on our end as well. For anyone that has more then one dog, will understand- more food, more vet visits, more grooming, etc. Y’all also know, I don’t have kids yet, so for me Gino has always been my little fur child, so I tend to spoil him a little, a lot. The same will obviously go with Bobbi too.

She’s a sweetheart, craves constant attention. Ivan & I are really trying to train her as well as Gino. She’s potty trained, so she’s got that down. She knows how to sit, although it takes me having to say it 20 times before she actually does it, gotta work on that. She used to be terrified of her crate, and now actually sleeps & takes naps in it. She’s pretty good at listening when she’s running around too. What I really want to work on is her jumping and scratching my legs because that’s really starting to hurt! lol. Anyway, I just wanted to introduce Bobbi to y’all! I hope everyone has a great day! :*)

Sweet comments make me happy.
